Best model years for Honda Odyssey (engine)

Looking to buy used Honda Odyssey after owning a 2003 for over twenty years
now.   Ran like a TOP.  So, Im in the market.  I understand it is a very good idea
to buy a later year model of a particular generation so that the manufacturer is
able to work the kinks out of the engine year to year.  Given that, anyone know
which model years of the Odyssey would be good to look at?  Thank you!

1999 to 2005 model years were plagued with mechanical problems, mainly transmission, cooling, emissions, and automatic doors. In other years, these problems still existed but far less severe. The years that rated the best by reliability were 2015 to 2017, and 2021 to 2023... Even though the odyssey is one of the best made cars available, I'd recommend you have a mechanic review any car you're serious about buying. He'll find any problems resulting from manufacturer weakness and owner failures in maintenance & repairs.
