Are you looking at the oil change reminder? you can use the key to insert on it to reset after oil change.

This happened to me while driving 60 mph on the Interstate. Called Honda Service and they told me to pull over, turn off the car, then restart it. Has not happened since. The D3 light is on the Tachometer.

I have Honda CRV-xl 2008. I got an Orange D-3 close to the letter D of the Transmission marks, looked in the book, no clues. then like in the computers , turn the engine off, waited 10 seconds and turned on again and aaas, no D-3 lights or else.

You accidentally pressed the small button on the shift lever. This disengages auto-overdrive. When it's disengaged and you reach sufficient speed where overdrive normally kicks in, you will get the D3 light. When you turn the car off, it resets. But look for the little button on the drive shift and you will see it. Needs to be pressed once again to stop this from happening.

D3 is the same as hill assist on the newer models. It is controlled by a small button located underneath the shifter knob. When needing more pep to climb a hill, you can press the button and you instantly have more power. To dis-engage simply push the small button again. This D3 button when engaged also helps to hold your car back without using brakes when going down a hill.
