will the front end off a 73 firebird fit a 76 formula ?

Absolutely not : ). The closest one to a 1976 front end is a 1974, without that black bumper.

you can take and 2nd gen shell and make it look like any year for that generation. very popular with 4th gen taking the ls1 front clip and put it on a lt1 car
