Fuses

Asked by Jermsgrl Mar 29, 2018 at 08:04 AM about the Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Two years ago I had to have my fuel sensor
replaced in my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Two
weeks ago I replaced the fuel filter because my
truck started running real bad like it did when the
fuel sensor had to b replaced. The check engine
light also came on, it blinks on and off. I took it to a
parts place so they could see why light is on and
may see why its running poorly but when they put
tester in the little box like place in truck it wouldnt
read. I checked all my fuses inside truck but not
under hood yet. It spudders like its going to die. Do
you have any advice for me on what could be going
on?

The pressure sensor could be bad. You can also check the fuel pump relay in the fuse box under the hood, but if it is bad the pump would not work.

perhaps their scanner is crappy from people using it , try another , if you get the same results the computer could be bad it's possible , , you could check the injectors and fuel pressure , if you 're not into that find an honest mech. if you are willing to learn cars are run by computers and I'm sure you deal with those on a daily basis , tons of information on the web
