Wires broke  on the switch

If you can, try and re-use the connector at the end that connects the wire to the switch. Splice the wire by twisting the bare leads together and soldering them or crimping a splice connector to the ends. In either case be sure no exposed wire remains after splicing. Use electrical tape or heat shrink tubing to prevent any shorting after the splice is made.
