91 Ford Econoline

Hello,
I am looking at a 91 ford econoline wheelchair accessible van from a private seller to
be purchased for my elderly grandmother.  The van seems to be in very good condition
and I plan on having a mechanic check it over before purchasing however, can anyone
comment on the reliability of these vehicles.  I make a decent amount of money
however, I support my grandmother and mother financially.  Basically I just need a van
that will be able to make a 200-300 mile round trip once or twice a year while putting no
more than 30 miles a month on.  Any info is appreciated.
