does the ignition coil need to be a dealer part or will an autozone or napa part work just as well

Asked by GuruY815K Mar 21, 2018 at 07:43 PM about the Toyota Sienna

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The  #6 coil was replaced by a mechanic 3 1/2 years - 40,000 miles ago.
i dont know which brand was used. possibly NAPA.
would that coil possibly have a warranty that would cover it?

Don't need to go to a Toyota dealer for a coil, unless you want to...NAPA, O'Reilys, or your choice should be able to help you out, and much cheaper than an auto dealership.
