Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 rendezvous with the 3.5L and the car WONT
STOP OVERHEATING!! new thermostat new radiator cap
tons of antifreeze!!! And the cabin wont ever get hot at all!!
I've put in one treatment of K&W head gasket sealer in it
and tht seemed to help for about 2 days.. But anyways
when i unscrew the bleeders on the car no fluid comes out
which is what is making me believe it's the water pump? ??

How many miles on engine? Have you tried a compression test to determine if head gaskets are okay? You can also try a pressure test on the cooling system, make sure all hoses and connections are good. Go to Youtube for signs of a bad water pump, it will give you some things to look for. If you're still unsure let a mechanic look at it.

Hi ken the rendezvous has approximately 135xxx on it .. I haven't done a compession check on it .. As I'm pretty sure the head gasket is blown on it from the amounts of smoke / haze put out by the exhaust.. And also the oil level seems to be quite overfilled/runny and the tell tale sign of the milky green oil fill cap!!! & also I'm unsure of how to even go about tht with it being FWD?? and ok I will head on over to youtube now.. I also just went out and purchased another treatment of K&W head gasket sealer ... I guess we will see if this stuff works as good as it says it does??
