My Suzuki Vitara has done 15000 miles. The rear tyres are still legal but the wear is more on the outside of the tyre than the inside. The front tyres are wearing down evenly. Has any one had this situation

If your tires are wearing unevenly outside to inside on the rear, I would say the camber is not properly set. How many total miles on the vehicle, not just the tires? You most probably have some worn suspension components like the shocks, or springs. Replace those if they are indeed worn and have a proper alignment done.
