What is needed to do a Complete Motor and Trans swap on a Nissan Hardbody?

Asked by HI50 Oct 02, 2019 at 04:29 AM about the Nissan Pickup

Question type: General

I recently bought a Nissan Pathfinder 4x4
v6(Automatic) and I wanted to do a Complete
Motor and Trans swap over to my Nissan
Hardbody 4x4 4 Cylinder(Standard) just
wanted to confirm on what’s needed for this
swap. I’ve searched around on the net and
seen posts saying that you need the
WireHarness,ECU,Motor and Trans mounts,
Cross members and of course the Motor and
Trans. Am I missing anything else before I
start this swap? Can I use the Harness and
ECU from the Pathfinder? I know it’s a hassle
doing this swap but I just want it Automatic
due to everyday traffic in Hawaii just not a fan
of Standard

If you get the correct engine the swap is fairly straight forward. Swapping in the wrong engine is a minefield of problems.
