red stripes

Asked by GuruT48VT Jun 07, 2018 at 11:58 AM about the Chevrolet Corvette

Question type: General

what do the red stripes on one side of the fender mean, the car is a C4 - 1994?

1 Answer

They are called Chevrons and they don't really mean anything, just decoration. They started when Chevrolet was racing 3 identical corvettes in a race and the pit crews were getting confused so they added these stripes in different colors so the crews would know their car from the others. That's the story I got anyway.
