will an oil change cure timing chain rattle

on what kind of car or truck is this. the fact that the chain is oiled by the engine is likely not to reduce any rattle that you are getting from a timing chain you can add some lucas oil treatment in there and make things go smoother and increase the stickyness of the oil but if you getting timing chain slap it means that A. either the teeth are getting wore down on the sprockets that connect it from the crank to the cam B. you have a chain guide that is wore and is not holding the timing chain tight in the guide channel and you are getting slap back against the guide or C. you have a timing chain tensioner that has become weak and there for is not holding the timing chain tight. but it all depends on the year the make and model of the car and motor to what kind of set up you have
ok well I see that it is a ford bantum there for is it a v6 or a inline 4. thinking that it is the inline 4 and the fact that we have none of these cars in the states make it supper fun. I have added a picture that you will see and I hope this is the right motor for the picture the part 6L266 in the picture is the tentioner and which I would say is the best bet the next thing if that tests out fine the next problem I would point at is 6K255 or 6K297. hope this helps
Oil change most likely will not make quiet a noisy timing chain. If the timing chain is noisy the chain, tensioner and guides likely need to be replaced.
