Fiat 500 Reliable Car?

Asked by GuruBR5BT Jan 15, 2019 at 07:48 AM about the FIAT 500

Question type: General

Hi

i'm desperate to get a Fiat 500 (used)  but I have been told its not a very
reliable car and have been discouraged to do so. This will be my second car
I've owed a Toyota Yaris for the last few years. I don't know anyone that owns
one and the advice online is conflicting. I'm planning to buy a 2015/2016
model with maximum of 25,00 miles on the clock. Any thoughts?

Stay away from Fiat, Renault, and any car that cannot enter USA . It is a benchmark because American keeps their car decades and drive very far. If it is not reliable, they will not survive in American costumers demanding style.

If you play a 442 system and have a budgie in goal then keep the ball low towards the carpet man and you should see success. God luck.

Fiat came back into the US in 2011 when they started offering the 500 then, so Rondhole’s concern about Fiat 500 availability in the US is unwarranted. In 2014, Fiat purchased Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. There are no guarantees, but fiat has been in the US for 10 years now and made a huge investment in the US by buying Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep.

I bought a 2016 with less than 50000 miles on it from a Kia dealer and its certified pre owned so I have a lifetime warranty on engine and drive train and a 100000 miles or 7 years on everything else

I love my 2013 Fiat. I bought it used in 2016 and have driven the hell out of it all over Texas ever since. No end in sight.

I have a 2012 that I bought in 2015 with 40,000 miles. I still am driving it with no problems. It now has 153,000 miles on it.

I had a 2014 Fiat for six months before the driver's side door window completely sank into the door. I have had many cars over the years but never one where that has happened. Some pieces of the interior felt cheap and like they might come off soon as well, particularly the plastic casing around the steering wheel.

I have a Fiat 500 lounge 2018 and it is very reliable. I m very happy. I was born in Brazil and when I lived there , I always had Fiats. I love mine here in USA. If you keep the scheduled maintenance , you will be fine.
