I HAD THE SAME MESSAGE ON MY 1500, ONLY WAY TO BE SURE IS TO HAVE IT HOOKED UP TO A SCANNER, TURNS OUT MINE WAS THE T-CASE SHIFT MOTOR, I GUESS IT WENT BAD, THERE WERE 3 DIFF. OPTIONS FOR MY TRUCK SO BE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT ONE

i hear a popping noise which souds like a u joint popping but can be felt under the passenger front floor board....... a soung of ginding gears when taking off in 4 wheel is the closest i can describe...

3 months ago, while towing a trailer, my truck began to make a bad noise and rubbing vibration. It sounds and feels as though it is in the front center of the vehicle. The noise completly will go away and return after complete stops. It goes away after full stops or freeways. The noise is most common around 40 mph. The front tires chopped and now te truck shakes. I have replaced both wheel bearings. I'm getting new tires and want to solve the problem before they get worn. Thank you. 1 answer
