It depends on what year your truck is and the engine and cab configuration. There is a sticker in the drivers door jam that will state the manufacturers GVWR for your truck

It is a 2006, has the 6.0 L diesel, and a full crew cab. The GVWR is 16,000 but no where listed is the GCWR. The book says the GCV = the GVW + the trailer. That makes no sense The book also lists the 350 for that year and rear end has a 23,500 GCV, but it has only 17" tires, I have 19.5 tires if that makes a difference
