I have a 1994 chevrolet cavalier z24. I have had 3 transmissions put into my car since January, 2015. I am still having the same problem 3 months later. The transmission is slipping when I put the car from park into drive. It goes into neutral. Can this be caused by the inside gear shifter if the shifter is not connected properly to the transmission? I have a 94 cavalier rs 2.2 and when i start my car it idles really rough and the car will shake and yu can smell gas. It goes away when i drive away or push the accelerator. I am the owner of a 1996 Chevy cavalier and have replaced thye following parts; fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition module, and crank sensor and I am still having problems with it cutting off after driving about 20-30 minutes.
