What type of lubricant do you use to grease Honda Odyssey sliding doors? My doors are hanging up half way and then going back to the on position. My husband used W-D40 but that didn't work long.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Honda Odyssey 2008 needs sliding doors lubricated to slide smoothy.  My
husband used WD-40 which worked for a short while, but then they started
hanging up again.

WD-40 is not a great lubricant, do as Jim suggested.

Karmon how do you check the slider wheels and how would I know if they are in good shape or not?

if they are not sliding freely you can barely see them, follow the roller hook in the side of the body

The plastic “bearings” probably need replacing. I had to do this on both sides of my 2006.

I used spray white lithium. It helped, but the freezing temperatures in Minnesota winter still cause issues, causing one to "hang up."
