If the theft system on a 1998 3.1 v6 Malibu goes bad . Can I replace the computer , the ignition , the module and key from another car that I have to the one that I want to fix? Meaning all the parts from one car to the other. Please help.

i took my 2000 chevy malibu to the dealer to fix the anti theft system fix . the gave me a new ignition and the boot . they did not fix the problem but they took my $497.00 and told me my car is over to years old after they took my money. dealer on silver spring in milwaukee, wi 2 answers
