1999 chevy lumnia 3.1

I have a 1999 chevy lumnia. Sometimes when you
come to a stop it just dies. You have no idea it has
died just a loss of power and very scary happens
when you are drivein. no codes when scanned.  
Any suggestions please need to make this car safe
to travel in for my children.

My friend was describing this very situation to me, and her mechanic said instead of restarting, tow as-is dead to the dealership, no codes, dead, it was an easy fix- the ground wire was loose hope this helps!
