86 olds mobile culass trans slipping

i have a 86 oldsmobile cutlass supreme with a v8 in it. I am not sure the size motor or tranny but the tranny started to slipping taken off from a and that's the only problem. It doesn't make a nose like catching or anything and after the take of it wont slip again tell I stop and take off again. can anyone help. do I pull it. rebuild, replace new/used or know if it may be a broken cluth tooth or a oil line?

Check the fluid level but I think you need a rebuild.
