Check the level of your transmission fluid. It might be very low. If not it seems likely you need a transmission. Any good transmission shop can help you with a diagnosis if you're not up to doing it yourself. Unless the car is something special its probably not worth a new transmission which means your car is done. If it is something special find a used tranny or get out your wallet for a rebuild.
