Why my 1978 cutlass won't stay running

Question type: General

changed all spark plugs and put in new
distributor and also put in new fuel filter..
will start if foot in on gas but when I let go
of gas it goes off. .. what do I do to fix

Turn your idle screw on the carb up and make sure your timeing is correct

check your electric idle solenoid. internal on this carb.?

I would agree with previous posts. Try servicing the carb. and maybe the injectors. Could also be the fuel pressure regulator.

If it has a carb it will not have injectors and a fuel pressure regulator
