Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2008 Dodge charger, in the mornings when
it's cold the motor will rattle but once it warms up,
it's fine, it will seldomly have a rough idle for a few
minutes but not anything too bad but is abnormal,
we also had a problem with the rack and pinion and
is currently being replaced, however why is my
motor rattling on a cold start???

I suggest a molybdenum oil additive which will make a film on the moving parts and give critical lubrication at startup. Do review the oil weight you are using to make sure it is appropriate for your winter temperatures.
