It depends what you are going to use them for. Some people that drive in harsh weather get the all weather tires, but they are a softer tread and wear a bit faster. Others go for the highway tires that are harder, harder riding, but last a bit longer. These are mainly summer early fall tires and may not be the best for wet weather driving. When I lived in the Midwest, (Iowa) several people had summer and winter tires and changed them out when the season called for it. Bigger up front cost, but safer to drive on tires made to handle the weather your encountering. The make you pick is really up to you. In S. California, I take the highway tires, medium ride, 50,000+ or higher guarantee, and don't pay attention to the harder ride. Some buy for the looks, some for the function, others make a decision on the price. I go for the safety as I hate to talk to insurance claim adjusters.
