Any reasons why I cannot put a Jaguar 2003 X-type engine into a 2004 X-Type?

Asked by billkrueger339 Jun 06, 2016 at 11:57 AM about the 2004 Jaguar X-TYPE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2003 X-type sustained a lot of body damage but the engine is good. I
found a  2004 X-type with a good body but a dead engine. Any reasons why a
good mechanic cannot replace the dead 2004 engine with my good 2003 one?
