Right rear window

Asked by MDASPW72 Aug 07, 2017 at 04:45 PM about the 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All other windows work good including
cab rear window but the right rear window
is all the way up and it won't go down  I
tried controling it from the master window
switch and the right rear door window
switch but it doesn't work. The truck was
not in use for the past 15 months then
when I came back I started to put the
windows up and down twice weekly and
has been doing so for the past 3 months
last time it went up and down was last
week now it won't work. Please help me
get it working.

If it is just that 1 window, and it doesn't work with either switch, it is more than likely a bad window motor. The truck is 16 years old and it is common for a motor to go bad. At least it is stuck 'Up' and not down. You will need to pull the door panel and check for power at the switch and window motor.
