My explorer wont turn over at all, not even with a jump

Asked by chelle48 Sep 09, 2015 at 01:02 PM about the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Went to start my Explorer and nothing.  Wont turn over, makes no noise even.  Battery is good but wont start with a jump even.  So don't think its the alternator because it wont start with a jump.  was having no problems at all with it.  It does have a security on it.

I had this problem as well, even bought a new battery and nothing...is your engine light on? Mine wasn't, I ended up changing the fuel filter...n presto it would start, then the engine light was on showing o2 sensor n crankshaft sensor....changed both o2 sensors n crank shaft sensor n everything has been running great. Not sure if this is your problem, but mb worth looking in to?...good luck. BTW I found several good videos on YouTube on how to change those parts/where to find them...best of luck!
