Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Went to start my 92 Ram 50 auto.
Dead battery. Checked for power drain. Found fuel pump running with ignition key
off.Started truck and went for a drive. Returning, stopped a block from home.
Removed box, then fuel pump. Doesnt run at all now but when removed and
jumped to battery runs fine.
Truck wont start. Tried another ecm, didn't help. Hve no scanner ?? Thoughts??

you need to check the fuel pump relay to see if working properly and the auto shut down relay or the main relay sounds like it has stuck on and is draining the battery which in the interm has now burned up the rekay ((((like points in a older car )))) so now it wont activate the fuel pump relay for fuel pump activity..

I have two Ram 50's so have been using the one that is running. Interestingly when I checked for spark, had none, removed distributor cap, no rotation, pulled timming belt cover, tightner retainer bolt had backed off, belt inoperative. Thanks for feedback, great sight!
