1995 Dodge Ram 1500 not automatically shifting out of second gear

Asked by Valeriehaines Mar 17, 2016 at 11:07 PM about the 1995 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L v8; after about
a year of fixing issues, I finally got it on the road.
However, I've noticed it doesn't like to shift into
second gear, I usually have to let off the gas to get it
to shift, check engine light comes on occasionally,
and it's leaking fluid, what could be the issue?
