Could be many things that cause this. Should have the vehicle scanned for any trouble codes. This would let you know what to look for.
i cant get it up to the auto parts store to have them check it for me
is sounds like it wants to back fire kind of but dont its boging way down some times makes a kind of clanking sound
Could be a fuel issue, should change the fuel filter, and it may possibly be the fuel regulator. If you want to test for this, I can let you know how. You would need a fuel pressure gauge.
the fuel filter on this year is part of the fuel pump in the tank
i was told it should not need replaced unless the fuel pump is bad it gits fuel does fin in reverse just not when trying to go forward
If you do a fuel pressure test with the engine running, rev the engine up and watch the fuel pressure gauge. It should hold its fuel pressure, if it drops, then it is an indication of a bad fuel regulator. This could cause it to bog down. And it looks like the fuel regulator is on top of the sending unit. Since it is vacuum operated, you might want to check out the vacuum line running to it. Could be bad somewhere along the line. Test it first.
