When turning corner or stopping @ light the car cuts off. If I put it in neutral it will crank up.

It could be several things but one common solution to problems like yours is a vacuum leak... when you have a vacuum leak, it will affect the engine at idle.....too much air is getting in and the engine dies. give it a little gas and the engine runs fine. You can squirt carb cleaner around the gaskets and lines that go into the intake....if the engine speeds up , you have found the leak
