Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I I recently replaced my fan clutch in my 91 f150.
Only four weeks later my serpentine belt snapped
while I was driving. After replacing the belt there is
a horrible squealing noise and the engine's fan is
not turning at normal speed. I wonder if something
has seized up in the engine... Help!?!?

Something - idler wheel, water pump, alternator, power steering pump or AC compressor is seized up.

Since the belt broke and you did not replace it when doing the clutch fan, my concern is whether the clutch fan is installed correctly and now the second belt is taking the heat so to speak. Could it be aligned incorrectly? If it is not turning and the engine is turning then its not the engine its the clutch fan. Take the fan assembly with your hands and move it back & forth. If the clutch or fan have excessive play, remove the fan & clutch & check if the water pump shaft -- where the fan-clutch assembly mounts, see if it displays excessive play. If the water pump shaft does not but the clutch fan does then replace the fan clutch. If the water pump does then replace the water pump. Also by doing this make sure its not installed wrong or loose ect. Also by taking the parts off to replace the clutch fan the Idler or tensioner pulleys may have met the end of the functional life span and need replaced, I know since you just replaced the belt you now are thinking it is still good but in-fact if there is another issue causing the belt strain it needs to be fixed and the new belt needs inspected for wear, and replaced if needed.
