my truck 1995 f150 is over heating but when i pop the hood the resavor is full ,

How's the radiator fan? Has the coolant been changed since 1995? The thermostat could be stuck closed. Could have a damaged water pump which is not leaking. Remove the radiator cap and let the vehicle idle up to operating temp. See if you can see coolant flowing (moving) inside the radiator.
