fuel pump wont run after replacing with new pump

have a 98 f150 thought the pump died wouldn't start one day checked fuses and relays all good so figured had to be the pump. bought new pump tested and it works, so I replaced pump got it done went to start pump still not engaging... tested old pump at this time and it works also... GREAT... $$$.... so we tested power to pump and are getting voltage tested the reset switch and it too has power any thoughts on what else it could be...??? all my coworkers and I are stumped

Have you checked for fire at plug wire?

yes we also checked that, it tries to crank but I still don't hear the pump turn on we just took the line off the pump and tried to turn over no fuel coming out

If you have replaced all relay,s and fuse,s,could have a bad ecm/Brain.

just was playing around and being that I was getting power to the pump I decided to test the ground so I cut the ground wire and hooked the ground that I ran from the neg. side of the battery and it fired right up. so turns out I had a bad ground...

My brother 96 Chevy I had been working also had a problem like yours. A bad ground was also the problem so I had sanded the rust off the cross member (where it was grounded with a bolt) and it has no problem firing up

im not even getting power to saftey reset anyone have any ideas

On these obs there is a fuel pump shut off button is shuts off all power to the fuel pump it is to the left of the brake pedal check for that

I have a 2013 Ford F-150 I being a new fuel pump is not turn on and the fuse is good
