Remote on my key stop working, now my key will not lock or unlock the doors ,key hole on the driver door seems to be stripped, got locked out the truck, roadside had to come literally had to break in the car with no damage,now my back doors wont unlock and my lock/unlock button on the console will not work,plzz hep me

Omg! I encountered the exact same problem last week, pop-a-lock opened my door, had to break in as well, now my lock/unlock buttton does not work, nor will the 2 back doors open...my lock is stripped as well. I have a 2003 bmw x5. I really need help!
Sounds a lot like a security fail safe. Hit up www.bimmerforums.com . It may be specific to your X5.

NI actually took my truck 2 bmw and it is actually the key lock itself, it controls the lock console,needless 2 say they did a temporary fix and leveled the key and the lock with the hole(confusing right) and was actually able 2 fix it so that my new key that cost me 171$ ,can open n lock the doors using the remote because i have to have the key hole/cylinder ordered,with parts and labor it will cost 489$ ,alot cheaper than i thought,i hope this helped u out a lot
