brake conversion

Asked by alglockner Dec 29, 2018 at 06:08 PM about the 1964 Ford Thunderbird

Question type: General

I had a restoration company bought and installed a brake conversion kit, they
had the car for 2 months the brakes are spongy. In 2 months they could't fix
the problem, they gave up and said that they don't know what's wrong with it.
Have you any ideas as to what the problem is.

You might have a problem with air in the system. How are you bleeding the system and what fluid are you using?

Disk brake kit from Master Power Brakes was installed by the Restoration place. The brakes were still spongy, there is no air in the system with numerous bleeding. I asked them what the pressure is going in the clippers.it was 900psi is this enough pressure, I don’t know what fluid they put in can you recommend what it should be. I can’t go back to them to fix it they claim that they are baffled and don’t know what the problem is
