1984 ford ranger won't start

I have a 1984 ford ranger drove it in
garage and parked it. Went to start it
and it won't start just makes clicking
noise like battery is dead or a
grinding noise. I took starter off had it
tested and it was bad so got a new
starter and a silenoid and it does the
same thing.... Tried jumping it, letting
battery charge, took battery out of
other truck and put in it still nothing
