If it's running good, why?? When it blows up then replace it.No one can foresee a mechanical failure. But if you have that kind on money laying around I'll take some.

I second that! Where is it leaking oil from? My valve cover is leaking but definitely would rather replace that instead of getting a rebuilt motor lol

Is a clean truck or a clapped out rust bucket? I like these trucks myself and if it were in good shape I would rebuild the engine. If there is nothing wrong with the engine I would not rebuild it as nothing is to be gained.

If the truck runs well, the body and transmission in good shape, determine where the oil leak is coming from. Probably just a gasket. 160K miles on a well kept truck is not a lot of miles. I would recommend you do not throw some unknown condition used engine into an otherwise good truck. Either have the one you have rebuild, if needed, or purchase a reman engine. Most come with a 100K warranty.
