Take about an ounce of gas ... dump it down the carb ... and crank if that fails then lift a spark plug wire, put a screwdriver inside the connector ... hold it close to the chassis and have someone crank ... you should see a spark. Geez ,,,, 1978 ? Hasn't that truck started enough?
Pulled spark plug wire put screwdriver inside conn.. Someone cranked no spark and I guess so also gas didn't work either
No,No .... If you Don't have spark ... then gas makes no difference. You must find problem with the reason you have no spark first before you do anything else
Invest in a digital multimeter which reads ohms (resistance) and a repair manual for the year of your vehicle which gives the proper readings and testing procedure for various electronic parts.
