I have a 1977 Ford F150 and I think the cable going from the sylenoid to the starter is bad. I bought an extra battery cable. It has the right kind of ends and long enough. Not sure about volts

volts 12 + volts...the little wire from the ign.switch???the big battery cable to the starter??? when you turn the ign.to start ...does the little solenoid wire send power across the solenoid to the right side of the big battery wire to the starter or not????
