The tail lights on my 1988 Toyota Corolla will not
turn off even if I pull the fuse for it. What do you
think the problem might be?

I should say " emergency light switch " That happen to me at list twice. I got Subaru Forester ,and this one got two of them , one on steering column ( the most often incidentally activated ) and the second one is ,I think on dash board.You can find out on "google " simply ask question .....where is emergency light switch on 1988 Toyota...... Your car. Or look in the manual if You have it. Good luck
