Fuel system problem car

I have a 1977 Toyota rag and it starts up but will
not stay running I got a fuel problem fuel pump is
working when the carburetor bowl gets low it's just
out what's causing my carburetor bowl to get low
and gas

I don't know it starts up and when the carburetor bowl gets low and shuts off I took the line off where the gas going to the carburetor when I turn it on without even Crank that she was so much gas out I'm just trying to get down on it
