put it in park. you might need to push up on the shifter

Right, your car has a neutral start switch that won't allow the vehicle to start in gear. If the switch is not fully engaged you will not be able to start the car.

I have an 07 camry with 139,000 miles,mostly highway. I never changed the transmission oil. the car will not accelerate after driving 1 block, I will have to turn the car off let it sit for about 1 min and it will drive 1 block again. this keeps repeating over and over. no check engine lights or oil leakage. I took it to a local mechanic, he said the trans is gone, need to be replaced. I bought this car new. never had issues before. I do not have the money for another trans. what can I do? 6 Answers

I have a 1999 Toyota Camry. I do not have the alarm door openers for the car. The car won't start and the battery has been changed. My brother said he had trouble with this on our mothers car years ago, but doesn't remember how to turn off the alarm.
