It's Broken and I have to replace it.

Does anyone happen to know where it's located and what the best route to get at it is?

If it's like the later years then it's under the hood on the passenger side of the firewall. I would be just sticking out between the fender and the firewall so just a few bolts and disconnect the wire plug and your good. I would try looking there.

I'm hoping that's where it is too, not like the stupid heater core where you have to tear the dash apart... Thanks for the insight!

actually on the 1985 ford crown vic you DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE OUT THE DASH to replace the heater core.
