07 explorer overheated and now leaks oil from head onto plugs could problem be warped head or gasket blown

The only reason oil is getting on plugs is when the vehicle overheated that made the oil loose its viscosity and made it thin like water once you change oil and get the right viscosity back the oil will stop leaking.

I have to disagree whit Firebird on this... If oil is thin for some reason a properly sealing gasket will contain it. Also getting the oil very hot will not likely reduce it's viscosity all that much. More than likely the engine got so hot it cooked the gasket and ruined it. The heat required to ruin the gasket may have caused engine damage. Which engine do you have? How many miles on the vehicle?

157000 & 4.0. Vehicle starts drives but misses at idle. I figured because visible oil coming from head dropping on # 5&6 plugs. Considering using new bolts to re-torque head to see if that fixes if not then thinking about replacing head. Anybody got misgivings about plan of attack?

If it is a 4.0.... I am pretty sure the engine needs to come out due to the additional cam timing chain located at the rear of the engine. I would get a service manual if you are going to attempt this yourself.
