No heat

If both lines are hot going to and from the heater core, then coolant is flowing through it. You can have a partially clogged or closed heater control valve. Check both lines going to and from the core. The valve is usually on the supply line. Remove the hose from valve on the supply side and make sure coolant is passing through sufficiently when heat is selected on the dash.

Looked today to see and test heater control valve and from what I see there isn’t one on the truck. Is there any location it could be at that I’m missing?

Go to a site like auto zone and plug in the year, make and model of your vehicle. Then search for heater control valve. It fits between two sections of the heater supply line. Mot are black plastic and are vacuum operated. They should supply a photo to guide you.
