Asked by Malcolm Jun 27, 2018 at 09:15 PM about the 2006 Ford Focus

Question type: General

left hand indicator staying on after it has been indicated to, then wont turn off
even when the indicator switch has been disconnected works on right side ok

1 Answer

same person who asked the question is now answering . All the wiring from the steering wheel area go down the steering column until it reaches the first shaft coupling then on its way up to the dashboard . The insulation has gone that normally wraps around the wiring loom and the wires where rubbing on the steering shaft making the left hand indicator stay on after it has been turned off , making its own circuit . Now all insulated and working as it should be . ( wiring problem )
