My 02 Sunfire 2.2L has a idle problem sounds like it wants to stall continously, when hooked up OBD II codereader it says cylinder 1 missfire. does this mean my coil pack is going?

It could be 1 of three things or combination. #1 coil pack is bad. #2 spark plug is bad or #3 this is the worst case, the cylinder has no compression.

Most likely cause is spark plug, check the gap and for abnormal ware. Also make sure the plug wire is secure on both sides. If this doesnt resolve the problem try spraying a bottle of water around the plug wires and look for arcing. Bucky

theres a problem with harness common problem with gm i went through it 500 later same problem got new harness from painless andit was good as new
