My 1999 Alero makes a rattle noise when idle. Goes away when driving. The noise gets really load when I turn on the heat or AC. What could it be?
depending on what all is connected to your A/C belt, it could either be a bearing going back in your A/C or P/S (if it's on the same belt. most likely it is) also check your alternator. sounds like a bad bearing to me. these cannot be fixed by itself. you must replace the whole unit. (such as the whole A/C compressor, not just the bearing)
