Looks like the Lexus ES 350 came in only 1 flavor (meaning only 1 trim level) for 2012, which they called Base. Normally, this would indicate the Base model and you'd have higher trim levels to choose from. However, there are a few add ons that did cost extra on the Base: http://www.cars.com/lexus/es-350/2012/standard-equipment/

Hi. Yes. The answer did resolve the question. So I can assume that if it is not labeled as Base that it is more of a premium or upgraded model. I'm also looking at the Infinity G37, but need to get the specs to see how it compares to the ES 350 in cab and trunk space.

apparently on this model you get options but they get a bit pricey. So base I'm told is the 8 speaker stereo system maybe no nav, and seat options. There are 2 different trim levels the luxury and premium. I'll leave it to you to decide which is better.
